Actually, if you had searched for questions about the iPad, right up there at the top of the page where it asks you to SEARCH FOR QUESTION, you would have seen that you are definitely NOT the only one that thinks the iPad is a little ridiculous. You would see that more than once a day since the iPad came out, someone is asking a question that is a thinly veiled rant against the device.
So, no. You are not the only one who thinks that the iPad is a little ridiculous. You just think you are.

So, four times bigger than an iPod Touch for double the price makes it ridiculous? If you need the full Mac OSX, buy an iMac or laptop. The iPad is a much cheaper option if you don’t. Is a really big iPod Touch such a bad thing?

i don’t think it’s ridiculous, the ipad doesn’t mean to replace your laptop, it’s a device between ipod touch and a computer. it’s pretty useful to some.
